I also bought some entertainment cd's to listen too as I was trying to go to sleep. Being relaxed genuinely does help anxiety. While we are in a nervous state our bodies are so stressful and ready for the fight or flight condition, we in truth need to cause our bodies to let go and feel calm and peaceful. I cannot stress this enough, get your body to relax.

I also tried exercises at night before going to bed to get free of all my additional energy. This may sound outlandish but I was up for trying anything to remedy night time anxiety. If you do not be bothered taking tablets to treat nocturnal anxiety, then there are sleeping drugs or sedatives that you can take that will help you ease your night time anxiety. Again ask your physician about what medicines are available and safe to take.

But keep in mind taking medicine for anxiety does not treat your anxiety, but it does give you a relaxation from it. The best way to treat anxiety is to catch hold of a counselor or personal coach who can help you to work through the factors that are causing your anxiety. This is the only way to treat night time anxiety and s it.
